Zoom's Picture Perfect Weekend

Excited to be writing today! The past few weeks have been pretty busy on Governors Island. There hasn’t been many slow days that I can think of. This is a good thing, because I’ve been been able to stay busy. Having a consistent flow of visitors at the Art Force 5 house makes my job fun and easy. Recently at the house I’ve been working with super hero action figure making and super hero cape making also.

The most recent events we’ve had include, the Pride Parade, Figment and Pinknic. Out of these events, the Pride parade was definitely the most fun for me. The streets in Manhattan were filled with people everywhere. I had never seen anything like this. This year there was an estimated 40,000 people that marched in the Pride parade, breaking the record for all previous years. There was an estimated 2 million spectators that attended the parade also. I was able to take many photos and a few video clips while at the parade.

Even though the Pride parade was the most exciting event for me, Figment would be next in line. Figment happened right on Governors Island. There were all sorts of cool sculptures and art exhibits all around the island. The artist came from everywhere, and the exhibits were all unique in there own way. This is an event that I would definitely attend again if given the chance.  What is something you would want to do again?

Let me know in the comments below, I am just zooming with curiosity!
