Updates with Zoom
Last week was an eventful week at the Art Force 5 House. There seemed to be more traffic than the weeks before. This may have been due to the fact that the jazz festival that was on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was Father’s day, so that brought just a little more traffic to the island also. The jazz festival had a 1920s theme so the people that came to attend that were dressed as if they were in that era. It was awesome getting to the island guest dressed up. The music also made you feel like you were in the 1920s, whether you were dressed up or not.
At our Art Force 5 house I didn’t do as much film and photography work as usual. I got to do more hands on activities like helping out with making super hero action figures, or making custom capes with he kids that visited the house. I also got to paint a few tiles for our most recent mosaic project we’re working on. This was a nice change of pace for me.
This week I’ll be getting back to doing more camera work. I feel like this is going to be a busy one for me. We have a few video projects that I will need to be filming for daily. The most exciting project for me is our video of the top 5 things to do on Governors Island. So far I’ve got to visit the giant slide, and the ice skating rink also. I’m looking forward to visiting more fun spots on the island!
